Projektbeschreibung

I ALSO KNOW THE PAST OF MY CITY! The main goal of this activity is to increase the participation of children with disabilities in inclusive activities in the community. Children with disabilities involved in the activity will have the opportunity to get to know and access the city of Durrës, supported by information adapted to their level of understanding. Beneficiaries of the planned activities are the children who receive rehabilitation services at the Community Services Center for disabled children and their parents.

I ALSO KNOW THE PAST OF MY CITY!

The overall objective of the campaign is: To increase the inclusion of children with disabilities in the community, through their participation in activities for the recognition of the cultural heritage of the city.

The innovation of this project is that they will have the opportunity to be informed in a simple and comprehensible language for them, through a leaflet, which can then be used by the Center for other children in the future. Children and their parents will visit the most important archaeological and cultural sites of the city and center staff will facilitate attendance and increasing cooperation between adults and children. Visits will be made to the Amphitheater, the Hammam, the Venetian Torra, etc.

The volunteer of Udhetim i Lire trained as guide, will train some of the youths attending the center as youth guide for their friends. The next day the youths trained will be the guide for their friends and other youths in these sites. Their parents and staff will be also part of this guide.

After the activities, they will have some time together eating a light lunch and talking about the activities.

We will prepare t-shirts with logos for the youths.
